Origin: Eastern Africa – Lake Victoria

Geographic Range: Shallow areas, including rocky and sandy shores of Lake Victoria.

Diet: Omnivore; Prefers a mix of high-quality pellets, live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp, daphnia, and small invertebrates.

Average Adult Size: Around 3-4 inches (7.6-10 cm)

Sexual Dimorphism: Males are typically larger with more vibrant colors, especially during breeding. Females are generally smaller and less colorful.

Minimum Tank Size: 30 gallons for a pair, larger for a community
