Geographic Range: Asia, known only from the Ajamaru Lakes near the center of the Vogelkop Peninsula, Irian Jaya, Indonesia.
Diet: Omnivorous: in the wild feeds on terrestrial and aquatic insects, insect larvae, and crustaceans, as well as algae and plant pollen
