Geographic Range: West Africa, primarily found in Sierra Leone and Liberia.
Diet: Omnivorous; feeds on small invertebrates, plant matter, and prepared foods.
Average Adult Size: 3-4 inches
Preferred Water Parameters: pH 6.0-7.5, Temperature 75-80°F
Minimum Tank Size: 20 gallons
Acceptable Tank Mates: Other small, peaceful fish such as tetras, rasboras, and other non-aggressive cichlids. Provide plenty of plants, rocks, and hiding spots to mimic their natural environment. Avoid keeping with overly aggressive or much larger species.
